The CIIPP will provide a national framework for identifying and protecting the country’s most critical information infrastructure (CII) assets—those digital systems and networks essential to national security, economic stability, and public health and safety.

The DAPs will provide citizens, especially those with limited access to digital devices or services, an opportunity to connect to the internet and access critical government and private sector services.

Expanding Digital Access Across Government

Since October 2023, the Sierra Leone Digital Transformation Project (SLDTP) has been delivering reliable internet bandwidth to 50 Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs). This initiative is a key milestone in the government’s efforts to enhance communication, improve efficiency, and support digital service delivery across the public sector.

Central Network Monitoring and Management System at MoCTI

With support from the Sierra Leone Digital Transformation Project (SLDTP), the Ministry of Communication, Technology and Innovation (MoCTI) is standing up a central Network Monitoring and Management System (NMMS) to keep the e-Government Wide Area Network running smoothly and efficiently.
