The Mid-Term Review (MTR) Mission for the Sierra Leone Digital Transformation Project (SLDTP) officially commenced today, marking a significant milestone in the project’s implementation journey.

The mission brings together the Government of Sierra Leone, led by the Ministry of Communication, Technology and Innovation and the Project Coordinating Unit, alongside the World Bank task team. Over the course of the mission, discussions will focus on reviewing progress against the Project Development Objective and Results Framework, assessing procurement and disbursement performance, evaluating safeguards and coordination arrangements, and identifying priority actions for the remaining implementation period through September 2027.
Since its inception, the SLDTP has focused on strengthening digital connectivity, enhancing digital skills, improving cybersecurity capacity, and supporting the development of digital public services across government institutions. The MTR provides an opportunity to take stock of foundational achievements while ensuring that the project is well positioned to scale impact during the second half of implementation.
The mission will include engagements with key ministries, departments, agencies, and private sector stakeholders to review progress and align on next steps.
The Government of Sierra Leone remains committed to delivering a digitally enabled public sector and inclusive digital economy, and this mission represents an important step in accelerating that vision.
